DHL about ELINEX

DHL speaks highly of the collaboration with Elinex. Eugène Bijsterveld: “We have been doing business with Elinex for more than 15 years, to our full satisfaction. The cooperation is very pleasant, the staff are friendly and maintain good communication. They are experienced in the field and provide good advice when necessary in favor of the solution.” Bijsterveld is succinct about the price-quality ratio: "It's good, delivering and installing a qualified product."

When asked what would happen without emergency power in the event of emergencies, he replied: “In the event of unplanned power interruptions, the data center will be excluded from the global network, disrupting the logistics chain and processes. This results in huge delays, with the obvious financial consequences.”

About DHL

Who doesn't know them, the striking yellow delivery vans and trucks from DHL? DHL is one of the largest logistics providers worldwide. DHL has its own Supply Chain locations at approximately 20 locations in the Benelux. In the business-to-business market, DHL facilitates all logistics from these locations, including refrigerated and non-refrigerated warehousing. Everything is arranged, from storage, required software to transport. Customers of DHL pass on customer orders, which are processed directly by DHL. The customers are therefore dependent on the 24/7 performance of DHL. Power failure would be disastrous. For this reason, DHL uses emergency power provisions from Elinex. Job Roeleveld, account manager at Elinex, and Eugène Bijsterveld of DHL Supply Chain tell more about this.

Challenge

In the event of unplanned power interruptions, the data center will be excluded from the global network, disrupting the logistics chain and processes. This results in huge delays, with the obvious financial consequences.”

The Solution

Over the past three years, we have been able to provide approximately five new DHL Supply Chain locations with new emergency power systems. DHL blindly trusts our knowledge, expertise, and performance, and we are proud of that.’’

“Elinex and DHL have had a partnership for years for the supply and maintenance of their emergency power. Distributed across all locations, you'll find a mix of Huawei and Eaton UPSs. The standard solution that we have been delivering new in recent years consists of Huawei UPSs with bypass boxes, with any additional matters.” Elinex also maintains the emergency power supplies at various locations, which is guaranteed through a 24/7 service agreement,” says Job Roeleveld.
